Logo Design - How Many Concepts?

What’s the right amount of Logo Concepts to send to your client?

You’ve landed a client that requires a logo. Perhaps they have a detailed brief or know exactly what they want, however, often they’d like to see what you can come up with.
Usually they’ll have a rough idea, maybe some elements/colours they would like to see included, but then what?

First research/ask about the client’s company then look at their competitors. You probably already have some great ideas yourself.

Let’s say you have 1-2 ideas, another few ideas after looking at competitors and maybe 3-4 using the ideas from your client (replace any of those numbers with your numbers) - that’s the right amount.

You’ll likely find new ideas as you start to work on the concepts and realise that things you thought would look great, aren’t working. That’s part of the process.

Here are some concepts through various phases of client presentation and changes to get to the final product.
